It was only 15 percent but my grade was so bad the professor said i should consider dropping the course :noah: To be honest I could have studied harder for the test but that comment is even more etherous after seeing my grade on it. Yall got any stories of making a comeback from a bad first test...

Bruh, i remember getting the single lowest score in a lecture hall full of 250 students at my Intro to C++ course. The single lowest. Prof was like, "Someone got a __ score". Shudders in the hall.

my self esteem: :deadmanny:

I rebounded and passed that class, but I didnt realize...programming is simple if you take the time to teach yourself, just practice 30 mins / day. so many online tutorial websites and youtube videos that make it dead simple.

What language? Are you going to class and keeping up with the material? You dont learn programming through book reading, but practice and repitition

what programming class?

The secrets to programming is teaching yourself...NO ONE can teach you to program, they can only guide you.

go to cbtnuggets.com to see if they have your programming language course...you can either buy it or get it from somewhere...use your head!
I started learning program by myself at 18, when I went to college I was already beasting.

My introduction to Finance course I got a 55 on the first test. My first time getting below a B since elementary school. It was worth 22.5 percent. I just couldnt wrap my head around the present value stuff, i left thinking either I killed it or got murked. The latter was true.

I did well on the online quizzes worth 5%. And got a 90% on the 2nd midterm so I probably had like a 73% going into the final i think. I proceeded to get I think an 88 on the final and then got my A - :win:.

Intermediate programming were using some of vb and some of linq learning structures etc it seems simple when he explains it but i cant picture the code in my head. When i see the code i can understand what its doing but yeah appreciate the advice I do need to practice, because the notes dont make sense without me applying it

You've probably heard of this, but just in case (and for anyone reading this thread who hasn't)

Codeacademy.com

They're pretty helpful, they make it a step-by-step process with lots of visuals and a few projects you can work on just to keep you sharp.
I was looking into programming for somethin I was working on and it helped a lot, especially for somebody with ZERO programming knowledge/aptitude :whew:

Haven't used it in a while but last I checked they only covered the "basics" (python, C+, Java/javascript).

programming is something that when someone explains it...it makes sense but when you start to do it you get lost....:whoo:

practice, practice, practice lots of online resources/ projects you can do.

No one taught me programming. I was MILES ahead when it came to exams.
College professor even employed me to help with grading fellow students :ehh:

also once you get a hold of it...you will never make below 70K a year in your life...
