Manufacturers are competing to get the most costumers, which results in prices being driven down.

Also, most new or newer cars come equipped with competing shyt ,stock. Its damn near rendering aftermarket sounds obsolete. Them prices had to fall, they aint going into shyt but old schools when back in the day, you would be tempted to add all that to newer models

I rented a bullshyt lower model corolla over the holidays n that bytch was slapping:dj2::dj2::dj2::dj2:

I was like :scust:, but ill take it aa a rental ....until i started rolling it...for a base model it was stacked....even cams n sensors

I think I paid $1100 for my 42" sharp Aquos in 2009 and I got lucky, they accidentally gave me the 46" one by mistake. Now you got TV's twice as good for a fraction of the price, life isn't fair.

They're "Smart tvs", these televisions have ads by the manufacturers and they're monetizing your viewing habits. It's only the beginning, once their software and monetization strategy matures they'll have a steadfast way to increasing revenue & profits. Budget TVs themselves can be considered loss leaders just so they can get in your living/bed-room first.
Getting a "dumb tv"(without internet connectivity) looks to be more expensive now.

Yall understand 2007-2009 is a decade ago right? Thats a long time ago, especially in “tech years”. Why do you guys keep bringing it up?

Why not say 1997-1999 when 55” tvs were $3-7k? Itd have the same relevance as saying 2007

The internet has warped our sense of time.

Except a decade ago we were watching videos in the same quality majority people are now.

Can't say the same from 97 to 2007

480 was the standard resolution in 2007 what are you talking about?

From 97-2007 (The time period we are discussing) 99% of tv shows were still 480 or stretched to 720 (4:3 aspect)

Also known as “standard definition”

It wasnt until 2014, 3 1/2 years ago, that tv fully made the swap to HD (720p / 1080i )

Its why if you have 800 channels, 600 of them are non HD because until 2014 it wasnt the standard

How old are you again? Arent you young? Were you even born by 97? The fukk you in this discussion for

what a horrible example. My mind is blown at the stupid shyt you post daily.

1. Barely ran HD. "out the box" xbox 360/ps3 most games were under 720 resolution. Later on, they were 720 resolution HD but still struggled with performance issues even at 30 FPS.

2. In true coli arcadium fashion, you are confusing HD for resolution... 720 was standard in 2007, as i stated in the post you quoted. Xbox 360 and PS3, your examples, majority of games were 720 resolution. 1080 resolution is whats standard in 2018. So no, we were not watching the same shyt in 2007 as we are now in 2018..

480 to 720 was standard in 2007. 1080i was available and 1080p was rare. But again, as stated 99% of tv shows were broadcasted in 480/720 (4:3 aspect) in 2007, just as they were in 1997..

TVs in 1997 are closer to how we watched in 2007 then what what we watched in 2007 and what how we watch in 2018..

the big hype around 2007-2009 was Plasma and LCD TVs (720p / 1080i capable) but it was more about how thin they were compared to "TVS with the booty". Thats what was so important about that era.

Not how TV was broadcasted, which is what you are confusing this conversation for.

to put things in perspective, only 10% of computer monitors were 1080p by 2014...
