Gonna try my hand at photography. The camera I bought came with a 18-55mm lens. I mainly wanna do macro and landscape photography. Any tips, tricks, and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would look into the d3400. Pretty decent for beginners. One of the nice features is that it has bluetooth. Take your picture and immediately have it sent to your phone in its original size/resolution etc. Especially nice if you're at a function, w/ family etc. Its funny I saw this thread as I'm actually looking for a macro lens too.

he has more lens options with dslr no?

they have adapters so you can use older lenses. I’d rather not have to use an adapter though.

Yep... learn the different settings and you can kill people with full frame cameras with your lower end joint. This is the truth.

Yeah, one photographer who I consider a mentor, made nearly 7 figures in one year, with a couple of really old crop sensor cameras. The only people who care about this stuff are other photographers. Everyone else just enjoys the work the you create

At least start with d750, not new but the most impressive in that price range

that’s what I use currently. I see no reason to upgrade for at least another 2 or 3 years.
