You'll probably want a third party mouse, the magic mouse and pad both essentially work the same way with scrolling using gesturess. I don't have issues scrolling using the two finger gestures.

Thats all I got for mine. I would try out that trackpad before you buy a mouse. I scroll all day on mine & its I hate using mice now. But any cheap usb mouse will work. Try out that magic mouse in the store first, I didn't like it because it was too flat. This MS Arc looks better:
