Just bought an Xbox today and it lags so bad on my LG HDTV Smart TV

Anyone else have this problem, I was playing call of duty and that shyt was near impossible to play. I would hit a button and it would respond like a second later, so frusterating. I think i might just sell this shyt brehs if it don't work with my TV but I wanna hold out so i can enjoy GTA V with all you brehs. Any advice

It's been an issue for a lot of people. Search your tv model and I'm sure there's others with the same issues that have some solutions.

Your best bet is to get a monitor if you're really into gaming. HDTVs will get you serious input lag.

While I've never had this problem, I do know its an easy fix bruh. Just google it, if you can't figure it out, I'll do it for you later
Its just some settings you have to change on your TV. Nothing to worry about. Hollaback...

One fix I remember, your TV should have different modes. Like "Game" or "PC" modes. If it has a game mode, that will fix it Ditto with the PC mode.
If you don't, I'm leaving now so I'll post what I find when I get back (most likely tomorrow tho)

This site has a database of monitors and HDTVs and their input lag. Sell the TV and use this database to find another TV that's up to par for gaming

I agree with @bmoxover that if you are serious about your gaming, you'd be gaming on a monitor

I would recommend you the Asus VH236H (aka the EVO monitor), but that monitor has been discontinued. According to SRK, the Asus VS238H-P is the exact same monitor as the EVO Monitor except it doesn't have built in speakers like the EVO Monitor does, the stand isn't as strong, and its an LED monitor instead of LCD

How are you connecting? HDMI? Component? Try both connections

I see you have a 120Hz HDTV, can you change the refresh rate down to 60? That might help. It will say 120Hz, Clear Motion View, or some other BS.

Put it on Game Mode and disable all the post processing modern TVs do.

Same here bruh that input lag...had to throw my vizio in the bushes because of the input lag and i had to go back to my fatback
