Rules set by phone carriers mostly so they can charge you more. Not silly rules set by the manufacture. For example why can't I drag, drop, and copy music from my iPhone 5 in Windows Explorer right out of the box and have those files incorporated in the music player? Why can't I extract a Zip file and have those files imported into the player out of the box on the phone? Those are things Apple won't let me do.youre breaking the rules to get by
