“All skin tones” I’ve read multiple threads. I can’t find anything in which Lightskin posters feel negative in anyway. They just say they acknowledge their privilege and despise colorism. There are no negatives to being a Lightskin woman. Besides what? Getting hated on or ds women wanting to fight you or being fetishized by men. Stop being delusional. Ask any Lightskin woman if she would trade places with a DS woman. You wouldn’t find a single one
So you have no response to what I said? I Asked you to name some negatives of being a Lightskin woman. And do you honestly think a Lightskin woman would trade places with a dark skin woman? Regardless of how they feel about colorism? No1 hustles backwards.
This is stupid. I'm reading this thread and your comments while chilling with my light skinned woman and our daughters, and for shyts and giggles asked her to respond to your inquiries. Mind you, her responses aren't new to me, but apparently will come as a surprise to you...
As a preface, my woman is the same complexion as Meghan Markle so she can pass as white, but with more negro features though (hair and nose specifically). She also has five sisters and she's by far the whitest looking, two of her sisters have black mothers and her three sisters who have white mothers are all darker and have some blacker features than she. Her physical appearance is unique even compared to her own sisters...

acknowledging privilege and colorism:
She acknowledges she's had privilege, particularly when pulled over by police; she's gotten jobs that darker skinned women were passed over for; she has been with friends who were profiled as a teen but she was treated differently...
She said she thinks it's true that light skinned women normally despise colorism. She hates it and anyone who perpetuates colorist agendas...

no negatives to being light skinned:
She thought this was hilarious. Among other things, she says being asked to pick a side (white or black, or if your biracial mix is different), being told you're not black enough or that you aren't "really" black because you were raised by a single white mother, being called a mutt, and the very notion that there are men that place high yellas on a pedestal, these things are negative and disgusting. This is just the top of her list, though. I can't post them all cause I want to hit on your other misconceptions...

being hated by darker women and being fetishized by men:
She wanted to be very clear that the light skin fetish applies to more than black men. It's a wide open secret that Hispanic cultures are the worst for colorism, and she's been fetishized by Latino, white, black, and Asian men...
She knows that it is a thing that some dark skinned women hate light brights, but that hasn't been her experience much. So the generalization of these type of black women needs to be specific, it certainly isnt all or most dark skinned women...

if she would trade places with dark skinned women:
She loves herself, so the answer is she wouldn't trade places with any woman. But she grew up jealous if her sisters' darker skin tones; when I met her, as we were getting to know each other, one of the things she is self conscious about was her skin tone. Yes, she wishes she was darker. She loves dark skin tones, her primary images of beauty is (male) Lance Gross and (female) Nia Long. She calls me light skinned because besides two light skin Ricans she dated, I'm the lightest guy she's dated (and I'm not really light skinned). All the brothers she has dated are dark chocolate...
This specific comment of yours requires introspection because any secure person is comfortable in their own skin. But again you're overgeneralizing if you think no light skin woman would wish to be darker...
................
You insinuated that being darker is "backwards" from being lighter, which confirms you are an ignoramus. Some of the comments in this thread are despicable, and we continue to tear down black women instead of supporting them, especially publicly...
I lurk LSA and have an account but have never posted, just like I had an account here for two years but didn't post until last month. I think both forums provide insight into the black experience for both genders, but nikkas is nutty if they think these websites represent the typical black American or our views. Many of the thoughts and opinions on here represent a significant part of our community, but there is also a significant part of our community that has views counter to what is expressed here (and on LSA). These are social media forums, except we get to hide our identities. That in itself makes alot of this shyt unrealistic...
