Just completed MGSV and.....

Gameplay is 10/10

But the story is weak as fukk. I missed the cutscenes being interesting. The intro at the hospital was 10/10 but the game was light as fukk on the story. Also, I kinda miss having the bosses throughout the game.

Snake Eater is the best mgs game hands down.

Story really comes out in the tapes but you have to already be a MGS lore junkie to really get it. Still imo its a 10/10 game.

Personally I had no problem with the cutscenes on mgs4. I didnt even know that was a problem till I got on the internet.

In the context of Big Boss and his lore it was a huge disappointment, we expected tie ins with Metal Gear 1, Solid Snake, the Patriots, Foxhound etc
Instead we got a forgettable pile of shyt and gibberish

They could've made cutscenes like MGS3, No one wanted them completely gone to replace for fukking cassette tapes with nothing interesting to tie in to the MGS lore

I agree I wanted gray fox to at least be referenced in the game, but he wasn't. I disagree with the outrage about the truth ending in the game. Finding out the real Big Boss just fukk with you this whole time made me think back to mgs1 where Liquid was master miller the whole time. Also when the virus is on base and you have to kill your own members really fukks with you. I think if we at least got to play mission 51 to take down Eli would have made the game complete.

Worst is a huge stretch. Game should be done after act one. It drags on for no reason. Gameplay is supberb but brought down by the repetitive story + side missions
