While i do agree with your assessment that a full windows tablet is >>>> especially when u can install Bluestacks for android/ios apps .......but can't roll with that Dell Venue Pro 8 shyt with no hardware video out option besides the micro-usb port(yes i know it does widi but one should always want a hardwired solution) which you can't charge and use as video out at the same time.
Now if you'd have said the Venue Pro 11 with the micro-usb port for charging, a mini-hdmi port and a usb 3.0 port, then that would be another story. That tablet(with the i5 model) is the closest to the surface pro which is still the best windows tablet out but i digress...
I still like ultrabook laptop convertibles over tablets because you can extend the age of them years down the road when you'll want to swap a newer bigger hard drive and ram. The game changer is coming tho for tablets when they start implementing the use of cellular broadband directly in the tablets, ie no need for wifi or a hot spot when you're on the go.
