battery can only be replaced on Macbook Pros and MacBooks pre 2010, those hold their value a lot because of the ability to swap ram, hard drive, and battery. If I were you I`d get apple care right before your warranty runs out.
Already got AppleCare, and I'm fairly sure I'm going to size up.
A pre-2010 13in Macbook pro with 8GB RAM and 1TB hard rive + the wireless keyboard actually does sound nice,
