It's amazing how some people shyt on an Xbox One for not being native 1080p and having it be upscaled to that but others will let their TV set upscale a game x4 the native resolution and say it looks good...

Blowing up something 30% is preferable to blowing it up 400%. It's not better in this case because it's a larger number.
Aesthetically though, it doesn't look worse

And I think about it like this, you're taking a native 1080p game and making it fit onto a 900p game. In this situation, you're taking a 1080p game and inserting it onto a 4K screen. It's really contracting vs expanding. I know that's not how it exactly works, but you got the drift

Is upconversion a bad thing or a good thing? It can't be bad in the case of 900p to 1080p but be good in 1080p to 4K.
