Nokia and Microsoft are too stubborn. They need to attack the market in a completely different way and they seemingly don't understand the position they are in.

Their battle should be against low end android handsets since Windows Phone is a much more optimized OS for older hardware and they are fukking FAILING HARD by not capitalizing on that little buzz the Lumia 521 had :snoop:

Build a loyal following in 3-4 years is the way to go about it.
$100 phone (Lumia 521) in 2013 and market videos showing it performs just as fast with everyday tasks such as the iPhone and flagship android phones
$100 phone in 2014 and do the same...put the foot on their neck. Crush them with the value image
$200 phone in 2015 - still cheaper than whatever google will probably be doing with the nexus line
$300 phone in late 2015 - match the nexus line in price
$400 phone in mid 2016 - increase the price, but justify it against the big dogs like the iPhone and Galaxy...and still undercut them by $200+ out of contract...heavily subsidize to get free on a 2 year
$500+ phone to compete with android and apple in late 2016 - You should now have a solid following to go hard.

This is a CROWDED field and they are going to fukking fail even with their great innovations because they are trying to target that high end crowd who will look at the camera like :ehh: but I am already invested too much into android/ios

Marketing fellas...learn it because obviously Ballmer and the heads at Nokia have NO CLUE. You would think that Microsoft would learn that just throwing money at something doesn't always pan out. They were successful with this strategy on the XBOX, but the mobile market is 10x more competitive and has to go up the beast that is APPLE.

Again :snoop:

LMAO!!! The problem with your plan is there are SO MANY Android smartphones from so many manufacturers, that it's so easy to buy a used high-end or mid-range Android smartphone at a lower prices at places like on eBay. It's definitely cheaper to buy a high-end Android Smartphone than to buy the latest iPhone. I can easily buy an Android Smartphone on eBay with better specs & at a lower price than the Nokia Lumia 520/521.

Wow, they should fire Ballmer and Elop and hire you to run both companies! You seem to have all the answers!

Have they added more apps to the marketplace for WP8? At least the essentials

Are there any specific apps you need? Windows phone now has the VAST majority of all the app needs covered, via first party or third party apps. I can now even use Google music or Google talk! (Not that I care too)

But yeah, Windows Phone app situation has come a long way. Our gaming selection is certified piff now! (Halo anyone?)

But yeah, the phone and the camera grip is official. Its truly a worthy upgrade to the 920. AMOLED Screen, high end 41MP camera, lighter weight, thinner frame, and 2Gigs of ram, make this phone feel like a totally different experience. I wouldn't trade a 928 or a 925 for this beauty though. I would recommend those people wait for the next iteration of lumia phones for a true bump

If they ain't got Instagram they ain't got shyt :beli:

fukkin useless excuse of an OS if u ask me :mjpls:

Well thank god no one asked your dumb ass for your opinion.

And for the records there are numerous 3rd party Instagram apps on Windows Phone, from Oggl, to Hipstamatic, to Instance, and the upcoming WLC Gram. All of them are full featured and very popular. And official app has been confirmed to be on the way by fall.

No real excuses anymore in choosing a mobile OS besides UI preference now breh....:takethat:

I don't get Nokia. Nothing really changes software wise between Windows Phone releases (there hasn't even been a major one yet) so why flood the market with phones that are basically identical? Just make one good phone specs wise a year and one that could be bought for around 150 off the shelf and they'd sell phones better. That 521 sold pretty good. They need to attack that market.

MS also needs to stop chasing Apple practices for their development platforms. Nobody is gonna seriously stick with them if they're trying to replicate what's already out there, on a much bigger platform, with a lot more handsets. They just need to start cutting under everyone. Dev registration should be low cost permanently. They don't have to continue to pay people to come and develop if they make it worth it at face value.

The Lumia 521 runs better than any $100 new android phone out there

If I have to make compromises I don't want it :umad:

Not when there's 2 other OS that have absolutely everything I want/need and then some. One of which giving me the freedom to do whatever I want on the customizations end.

The way you try and force this Windows shyt on everyone....you had to know we'd come in here trolling :mjpls:

I'll give you credit for staying consistent however I'd still like to how much Microsoft pays you :usure:

Ballmer will probably be out soon and don't just take my outline for it...Google is doing it with the Nexus 7 line atm and its paying off really well. Even got Apple to release an iPad Mini to counter
