Nope, not a US breh. :ld:
Are you in the design game though ? Can you display your work ? And feel free to enlighten us about your tools and how you use them. This subforum is new, we'll need people to share their experience and advice above all if we can get coli brehs interested in design and/or any art related matter.

What country you located in breh?? I don't think AIGA is like an ONLY AMERICAN type thing. It's as far as I know for designers all over the world whether it's graphic designers, web, motion, game, 3D, printers, artist and so on.

I can try to show off some of my work one day but I wanna continue to tweak and improve on my craft.

As far as tools I use, it's mainly the big 3; InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I do fux with a little but of motion graphics and for that I've used Apple Motion 5.

I been trynna learn web coding and I just fukk with text editors like Text Wrangler or Notepad +++, but depends on whether I'm on Mac's or PC's (for some reason I prefer to do web coding on PC's but everything else on MAC).

Ummmmm, trynna think of what else to tell, ask me something.... That's the basic breakdown for now

Might not be restricted to Americans you right even if most of the members seems to be. Will look into it to see its benefits, seems interesting.

And I was not asking about something specific but just if you could share some tips on how you work by making some how-to's threads above all if you're good in designing (like how to do a quick logo, how to quickly draw a character, how to smooth skin in Photoshop, etc.). Could be interesting to share experience and confront them and make people improve their skills. It's also to make this sub-forum live because it's on life-support these days :lolbron:

I was thinking of joining AIGA a while ago. But I just didn't see the benefit, the chapter in the area I was located at the time met twice a year or less.

Whats the major benefits that you got you considering sticking with it?

Well locally, my chapter actually is very active. They have a mentorship program that's cool, I'm a part of, not to mention many workshop and local studio tours, great source of networking, and the access to attend the national conferences. I went to the most recent one back in Oct. it was in Minneapolis and it was extraordinary (I volunteered) and I plan on going again next year in NO.

Also I know you a few discounts on a few things like Adobe software, stock pictures, Apple products, etc.... Heck even health insurance. Also you may have access to jobs that some sites may not reveal
