Us 80's babies learned from our crackhead elders not to mess with hard drugs, especially those of us who spent our childhood in the hood in the 80's and 90's. The only 80's babies that experimented with a whole ass buffet of drugs are cacs.

Places where the culture is somewhat stuck in the 80's in terms of excess are big on coke (i.e. Miami, DC for the cac population, Vegas). I did coke once, it was a couple months before I got sober. Been sober from all drugs and alcohol going on seven years in September. I was a raging alcoholic. All I remember is that coke sobered me up from being retardedly drunk that night. It didn't do much for me. But I knew snorting drugs up my nose was a slippery slope. shyt I said I would never do, so that experience helped me get sober.

This is the truth
It wasn't just anti drug campaigns, I vividly remember dudes I used to look up to as a child turning into homeless crackheads and strung out junkies, caughing up blood and shyt or literally ending up dead in the bushes . Even ecstasy got some people fukked up, making them paranoid or leaving them with speech impediments I was never going to touch hard drugs after witnessing that
