Did the food in New Orleans meet your expectations? What was your favorite dish?As the title says. I had an amazing time. I went to New Orleans, Vegas, Dallas and North Louisiana.
AMA
It did, I had so much gumbo so I would say it was one of my favourites. I learned tho that not everyone makes it exactly the same so each dish will differ from brothy to stewy etc.Did the food in New Orleans meet your expectations? What was your favorite dish?
I did notFamilyWhats in Dallas worth visiting![]()
LondonWhere are you from
Yeah we road tripped and then flew to Vegas. Vegas was still busy even though it’s supposed to be dead. The streets were packed and my hotel was packed.damn u was all over the place. I'm guessing u had a car.. anyway, yeah America is lit af to visit especially that first time. Gon head and hit us with the #1 best restaurant, best attraction, best nightlife spot, and best experience you had tbh.
NOLA is the best of all those places. The vibes are immaculate. Vegas dead af rn but hopefully it was still chill. I enjoy Dallas personally but in Texas I'd prob pick Houston or Austin to visit for a first timer. Another hidden gem is just driving that southern route between those places is very scenic and beautiful with lots of interesting "rest stops" along the way

Did you get some Willie’s Fried Chicken? Is it better than KFC to you?It did, I had so much gumbo so I would say it was one of my favourites. I learned tho that not everyone makes it exactly the same so each dish will differ from brothy to stewy etc.
I also liked the shrimp and grits. I’m so annoyed I didn’t get to try any Jambalaya.
I also had frogs legs, a lot of oysters and alligator both fried and grilled.
The one dish that surprised me how much I like it was the fried okra. I will definitely be making that in the near future.
My least favourite was the crawfish etouffe and that’s only because it had a lot of bell peppers on the front end of my taste buds, I found it a pinch overwhelming because bell peppers are not my favourite in certain dishes. But I think that’s the individual cook not the dish.
