Same reason there's huge risk in terms of Morality and practical fear (death, and imprisonment), caution is thrown to the wind in exchange for BLINDING AMBITION, and then the inevitable downfall.

Thats more of a respect for story and Shakespeare, not because they're "about that #Macbeth life".

I love watching those A&E's specials on real-life mobsters and drug kingpins, just to see how their evil empire

unravels and crumbles. Cynical, I know. But, it's intriguing, to see these real life tough guys ruled the streets

with an iron fist, only for the Feds & DEA catch them in their own trap like a rat in a maze. These guys only

have two ways out: death or jail. And, even though you know how their movie ends, it's still

fascinating to see these guys going from being on top of the world, to living the rest of their lives

caged up doing jupiter numbers. You be a fool to idolize these dirtbags who ruin communities and innocent lives

Thats not what I said man, I said it plays a role. There are kids out there today doing stupid bs, pulling scams and stealing, and its cause they buy into the glamour of being gangsta...

I grew up watching these movies and listening to The Chronic and Ice Cube but Im not stupid enough to do something criminal when I have no reason to. I personally know kids (my cousin, my girls brother, etc) that have gotten in trouble for "gang related activity" and they thought it was cool at the time.

That shyt is not cool, and movies just like everything else affect our culture.

People always try to down play the influence of movies and TV and media. While you yourself may just view it as a movie, some people are heavily influenced by media (TV, Internet, video games music etc)

shh....you make too much sense. I enjoy violent movies as entertainment, but some people based their lives on that bullshyt.
