Billings is hilarious, low key one of the more consistent and underrated characters on the show.
Dude killed me with the laziness and could do just as good police work while doing the "Billings" minimum while Dutchboy was out there killing himself doing too much.
One random thing I never figured out till days ago. I thought young ass Paula Garces( Hot female cop) was young in the Shield...she was in dangerous minds back in 95
still the greatest Series Finale I've ever seen. Those seasons with Forest Whitaker

The Shield is so great because everything that happens in the first episodes MATTER....for SEVEN seasons....right up until the end of the show. They didn't reboot the series etc. What happens in the pilot matters at the end of season 7. That is impressive.
It won't happen, and would be impossible to do, but I'd wonder what a Shield Prequel would be like. Formation of the Strike Team with Shane, Lem and Ronnie. How Lem seems like a genuinely good dude all through....and how much did Vic change Shane etc. Once I saw Walton Goggins doing Boyd Crowder after playing Shane.....he really is so underrated as an actor.

I'm on episode 6 of Season 5, where Forest Whitaker moves into The Barn to continue his IAD investigation on Vic & the Strke Team. Whitaker's character just told Corrine about Vic messing around with Danny in the Past.This show is getting better in it's 5th season, while it's sister successor show "Sons of Anarchy" fell off in it's 5th season.
