...and IMO being a Tim Burton fan, not to mention a Johnny Depp stan.

This movie was asscheeks

They tried too much to make it a "comedy" with cheesy scenes and It caught me off guard, just for the fact that I watched this movie expecting a serious type "horror."

*Spoilers*

And the way they ended it was like a path to a sequel, but if you know anything about Burton it's that he hates sequels and people are just saying that he left the ending open to match the feeling of the original "Dark Shadows" in the soap opera form of a "cliffhanger."

I can't really say because I was no where to be found in the 70's :manny:

On another note, Eva Green and Michelle Pfiffer had me like :takedat: so they were good for that at least.

i dont know why you were expecting a serious type horror movie, i think you kinda set yourself up for disappointment. it wasn't marketed like that at all. i went in thinking it was gonna be a comedy and i thought it was pretty good. i mean it was pretty cheesy but i was expecting that so i enjoyed it. it was much better than sweeny todd, alice in wornderland and the willy wonka remake.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp need to SERIOUSLY give it a rest. Their collaborations have went from :win: to :ohhh: to:what: to:scusthov: to:damn:

I knew as soon as I saw the Dark Shadows trailer and read up on that it was based upon an old school Soap Opera that it was going to be some more wacky half assed phoned in garbage from those two....

Finally someon else with the same sentiments as me towards Burton and Deep.

Yes they are two great auteurs. But their shtick has ran its course.

All their projects are caricature of the last one.

The original Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory >>>than their quirky dark remake :pacspit:

:childplease:

I can't speak for "alice in wonderland" but Sweeney Todd & Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are movies I can watch over and over and not get sick of those were 2 great Burton/Depp movies.
and I HATE musicals.

that Chloe chick was on full hoe mode :wow:

she stay like that now.

seems like that's all there is in Hollywood now.

She was definitely sexualized in Dark Shadows (And her facial expressions and body language during the premiers were fukking GODLY), can't deny that. But unless you count Hick (You really shouldn't as this is a different type of sexuality shown for completely different purposes), this is the only time she has been overtly sexualized in a movie, simply for eye candy purposes.

Not that I'm complaining....:ohlawd:

Still, Chloe is an innocent angel of god, not a sinning demon.
