Getting my degree this summer and working on my A+ cert, but was thinking of starting with helpdesk also to get my feet wet. How much do they pay you?

Depending on the company $15 to $20 per hour but that's like tier 1 phone calls only. If you're doing tier 2 or 3 and actually traveling to sites you could get more.
