true, 45 aint that bad. i did 90 one time in like a 45 or 55. it all depends on how clean the driving record is and getting a decent lawyer. main hassle is paying lawyer and any court fees.

Seriously get a lawyer. I had a ticket that initially would have been reckless driving. I got a lawyer and it was reduced all the way down to improver driving. That meant no points on drivers license. lawyers can work the system for you man. Mine had a flat fee of $400. That $400 saved me in tickets and insurance though long term Don't go in court alone if trying to get out of it(I didn't even have to be in court).
Sounds like he caught you legit, you left out the part about not having your papers in order so thats another thing also. Fight what? You got caught slippin, nothing really to fight. Sounds like you even admitted you were speeding so nothing really is left to question, speeding and no papers?
Im sure the coli legal team will tell you otherwise, they beat everything thats thrown at them.
Can lawyer up but thats gonna probably cost more than the tickets.

Get a lawyer immediately, they will charge u $100 and will go to court and dismisses it for u, it never enters ur record and ur insurance won't go up a cent. Win win situation.

I was not complaining either way, stepped in the law office and was out in 10 minutes.
I was more concerned about it not entering my record thou since even jobs ask for it.
Most people aren't aware of this thus get focked over it.
You got a GREAT DEAL. A friend of mine got an underage public intoxication charge (walking outside with a beer can in his hand), and the ticket was only like a couple 100 but he aint wanna have it on his record (his job). Had to pay his lawyer $1700, had to take AA classes, and write a paper about what he learned in the AA classes.
20 OVER IS RECKLESS DRIVING IN SOME PLACES. THEY CAN TAKE YOUR LICENSE ON THE SPOT SOMETIMES. I THINK THEY CAN TAKE YOUR LICENSE ON ANY MISDEMEANOR. I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH.

You don't need a lawyer, here is what you do, (not sure if you can do this in every state). You have the option to go to the city prosecutors office and essentially cop a plea. The problem is you went 20 over and they can fine you, give you points and suspend your license. See if you have the option to take a larger fine in lieu of the other stuff. But if it's just a 200 ticket, then just pay it and be done with it.
