Extremely Dense memorization. And chemistry, while also doing practical work in the real world.excuse my ignorance but can someone explain what is hard about the nursing programs?
Is it just the sheer volume of material and pace or is the actual technical aspects of the practice hard to grasp?
I dated a doctor during her med school era and it seemed like a lot of memorization honestly but i'm sure i'm oversimplifying it since i would just walk pass the room and see her studying flash cards at 1am
I'm in tech so used to constantly studying, but looking to do something where i don't need to learn completely new paradigms every 12 months
I was a teenager when my own mother finished her nursing BS and I recall she had pharmacology text books thicker than my head that just covered the different drug types and their interactions. It is a lot of extremely boring content to cover. Much like med school, with step1/2, nurse students are also required to do clinical hours which are often full working shifts in a hospital, while also trying to memorize this information for their licensing boards.
I'm also a tech bro, so I would compare this combo to taking a CS weeder class like Data structures + Algo while simultaneously completing a FAANG internship. Their chemistry would be like discrete math for us.
