On my phone a galaxy. It pops up saying tracker detected. I just searched under my car and didn't see nothing but just before that it detected it. Can they turn the tracker off remotely?
that alert would only appear on a apple phone

Yep. I got 24/7 security so I let them know the situation.

Freaked me out at first, cause a girl was texting me and it kept updating.

A chick from work had that happen but she didn't get an alert right away. Turns out some guy at a gas station threw an airtag into her backseat car window while she was at the pump. She had an out of state license plate so he knew she wasn't from around there. She stayed at a hotel about 40 miles from that gas station that night. Got the alert super late that night, around 10PM. Looked out her room window into the parking lot and saw someone in the car parked next to hers so she called the cops. By the time they showed up the guy was gone.

She said when she was at the gas station she was on the phone talking to someone about meeting at a club later in the week at 11PM. So the guy must have overheard the convo and thought she was talking about 11PM that night. He must have been waiting for her to come out the hotel, and god knows what he was gonna do.
