This song was dope breh. I love Lupe when he is on his A game. Lots to unpack.
First one was the Artist stereotype of depression. And then there is the bonding segment of the muse with the artist. That intimate setting between artist, panel and muse. A powerful concoction of bitterness, admiration and observation.
Then he mentioned the art game being opaque. It def is. But this is how all the muses are right? Cant you say the same about theatre? With literature too?
The end result of this discussion he destroyed his work in a sacrificial ritual, was it because the artist was killing himself? Or was he sacrificong the muse?
