Cardio everyday for atleast 30 minutes will help immensely. Whether its jogging, cycling, whatever an intense cardio session releases tension while restoring hormonal balance and improving your overall health. It's also good for the brain because by exercising you release the bodies natural endorphin's and stimulate BNDF (Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) Just by being proactive about your health you regain a sense of control which alot of people battling anxiety generally find lacking in their daily lives.

A good resource with a lot of research and anecdotes to get you motivated:

Before you consider prescription drugs find a daily regimen and then work on cleaning up your diet. Also research info on Mindfulness Meditation and begin to set a schedule for 15 minutes out of your day to master that technique.

Man I swear daily cardio/weight lifting is the only thing that staves off depression. I have horrific, horrific anxiety almost all the time, but I tell nobody I have it :lupe: . I'm a very cerebral person. Music and exercise keep me sane. fukked up thing is I can't control it, but I know Allah cursed me with this jin for a reason.

If people in here are struggling with depression/anxiety and don't exercise regularly, then they should. It could honestly change your life.

how long you been taking it breh?

About four months. That + Lamictal is a God send. :ahh:

do u really think that meds can cure a condition that is in ur head tho breh? :ld:

I dont :yeshrug:

But to each its own

It can and does. I used to get physically ill at the thought of going to places with huge crowds of people. Hell, even have company gave me anxiety.

Somewhere plottin
I used to suffer from it heavily, I still occasionally battle it. It never fully goes away but you can manage it. I ended up becoming a first responder, doing so requires me to suck it up and deal with it. A person in need doesn't care about an anxiety or fear but their own. Thats the key...it has no cure, you just harden up to a point where your mind wills yourself beyond it.
Although im not going to be in the field of saving lives, i will be dealing with clients that are going to need my help and depend on me so i know i really need to nip this shyt in the bud real soon!

I'm going to talk to my mother about it today. I don't know how shes going to take it but she always know the answer to almost all of my problems.
