How much do you Get paid. If u don't mind me asking. Were you able to find a job quick after you finished school?
I went to military after... Extending my cert game. (From 1 to 4/5)

Was making about 70k there and making 60k when i got out... Starting

I mean, for a single guy with no kids and serious bills aside from rent/car/insurance/phone... i am straight

I barely spend my own money. Im usually loaning to people who dont seem to want to do the same.

If i can recertify my last one and grab a major cert like CCNA or CISSP, I could be making 6 figures easily.

Went thru the same shyt. Been at my new job for 4 weeks now. All is going well even though there's a damn snitch. Any time i do anything slightly wrong, my supervisor ends up knowing about it. I'm pretty sure the snitch is supppsed to talk to me about these issues instead of tattling but luckily my boss knows all I'm ever trying to do is work.

Anyway bro, try to land a position in a company that just opened up. Pay attention to craigslist and indeed.com.

People like to crack jokes but this shyt is so damn defeating and annoying.

And that check and free tine is cool till the money runs out. Then you be bored af.

Got written up on the word of a snitch and currently on 30 day probation. Been doing some phone interviews as a result of that. Can even happen in corporate but they won't fire you right away if your job is hard to replace.

They've been looking for a potential replacement for me that will take shythe and obey orders, good luck to them with that.

After this BS they'd be lucky if I gave 2 weeks, only because I'm cool with my sup (but not her boss)

You just have to come to the realization that the companies you are working for do not value their employees due to either company culture or due to the level of skill required to do the job. So you need to either find a company with a good culture or better yet enhance your skills and make yourself less disposable...

:why:

I damaged something by accident at work and was immediately fired along with cost of repair withheld out of check.

I'm so used to it when I hear that im fired :martin:
Now I got free time.. And a fat check thats gonna get raped. :dwillhuh:
I broke a jar of pickles where I worked and it was all gravy. Crazy part, the manager hated me, but the lower management didn't. I soon left. Bruh, you go to school or anything? Fired for the 3rd time in less than three months isn't good.

A+ (Got that at the trade school)
Sec+
Windows server
Windows network infrastructure
Active directory
And a bunch of CCNA certificates but not the real thing.

I just throw them on my resume even though im renewing my Sec + soon and trying to get the real CCNA switching and routing and maybe CISSP. I really hate Windows but it was all i was offered in the C-school i went to. But i know a shytload about AD and that will get you a job pretty much anywhere. Bullshyt job, but a job nonethe less. I also have a lot of experience with vmware, citrix, etc. knowing a lot of those could get you a 45k-60k starting job easy. Im making that without my clearance.

I also have a clearance from military but not sure when its up. I'm not using it at the moment... The goal was to go overseas, bank, and come home and go to school. Had a few setbacks but i got a decent job even though i could do a lot better.

I got it to be a temporary thing to make a lil money and stay close to home for awhile but its taking up too much time that im extremely close to quitting.

About a year altogether.

Sec + are easy..

Compared to Windows certs, all of Comptia certs are easy.

CCNA certificates were easy because i actually like networking, but the actual test will not be.

There might not be a quick fix. Going to a junior college, tradeschool, or a bootcamp could get you at least the A+ in no time.

Like I said, you got to put in at least 6 months.

An A+ could at least get you in an entry level helpdesk job. My homie doesnt even have his yet but he does helpdesk on an actual cruise ship.

Like literally, all he does is fix their hardware shyt. On his days off spending them at the bahamas and shyt. Pay isnt spectacular right away but for a single guy he has no worries.

Once you stack certs in a direction you want to go in (networking, security, helpdesk/hardware, coding, etc) then you'll start making really decent money. Get the higher level ones like CCNA and CISSP and you wont even need to stack certs like that.

I had a navy friend who got his CCNA in High school and helped a civilian write a server book while inside. Lets just say he's living pretty good right now

Its not hard at all

Especially since its no longer 2 tests where you have to split between hardware in one test and software in another

Then you don't have yo spend much time on legacy bs like I had to. Them first tests were retarded. Questions about computer history and allthis outdated shyt. At least from what i could tell

Then the more experience you get the better.

Network + was so easy that i skipped it. I regret it now though. But im trying to get back in a school where i can get all these certs or just get one or 2 and go to school for music. Still havent decided
