The way you guys just say this... Starting a company is hard enough even when you have start-up money. Breh just lost his job and i'm sure his bills aren't saying "we will wait until your company gets off the ground to pay us". God forbid he has people who depend on him as well.

My company keeps having another round of layoffs every year and I keep every me. They refuse to let a nikka go so I could just wallow in my own filth for a couple months

How hard is it out there? I got fired and lost my professional license in what will be 1 month tomorrow. My new job which pays more starts on the 20th, I accepted another job that starts July 31st. I would have been working in the same field 10 days after I got canned but my license came back revoked! People in the business are saying to appeal. I never even considered filing unemployment. But I've had cash to hold me over.

First job out of college since graduating in December 2014. Been working since Feb.

I already knew my time was coming. I made a thread like a month ago about some slick shyt that happened to me at work.

I dont have the mental to sit, kiss ass and fake smile at cacs all day in an office.

The position at that company was bs tbh, nikkas gave me busy work and the projects I worked on were never used by em.

I got an interview next friday and they had me on the "priority" list of candidates since they fukked with my resume.

Im actually releived, I was spending 250 a month, fighting traffic commuting 20hrs a week in total.

Filing for unemployment on Monday.

Gonna def look at perfecting my graphic design skills and freelance on the side.

You should file now.

File for unemployment now. You have no idea how hard it is for a lot of brothers to bounce back.

If you have any documented proof of fukkery make a statement to the EEOC.

Hell, even if you don't have documented proof still call them.

Think about starting your own business or learn to trade.

The fukkery won't stop unless you go gay.

Even then you still will catch the heat.

Ive been laid off once.

Folks was telling me:

"its the best thing that could happen to you!"
"blessing in disguise"
"You'll be back better than ever!"
"they just paying u to look for a job"


They meant well, but it was some bullshyt. Nothing is good about losing your job. It sucks. That one layoff set me back for a while. I was only out of work for about 6 months, but that shyt felt like 2 years.

The key is to get out of the house every single day. Luckily I had my kids and there was alot to keep my mind occupied, but you just need to keep your brain stimulated and sharp. Just do something. You cant apply for jobs 18 hours a day, that shyt is demoralizing. Go work out, take a walk, see a matinee, people watch. Just stay active. Its almost like doing a bid. It will be over but do the time and dont let the time do u.

Lost my job last thursday. I have enough cash to sit on my ass for almost 3 months No idea if I can get paid that much again.

Bounce back, breh, all that "It happened for a reason" mess is BULLshyt. Having my family float my bills cause I was pulling in 180-250
every two weeks was almost enough to commit that. That was WITH a job. Putting together a graphics and photography portfolio to send out tomorrow to

Update:

Got 2 job offers and just took the background tests and drug tests for both

Both offer educational benefits. like tuition assistance and reimbursement so ima use that to get my masters.

Both are the same positions but 1 offers the educational benefits day 1 of hire (aug. 17th) while the other job I have to wait 12 months for the tuition reimbursement.

The job ima pick has a training date of august 31st so Ima just use these next weeks to stack my unemployment checksit pays more than the job that has day 1 benefits so
