works out to a little less than 19 dollars an hour... thats about 2800 before taxes.... after taxes close to around 23-2400....

i guess u would be ok if you had a one bedroom apartment with under 1000 rent... but if you have any hopes of owning property... or have other expenses such as a car etc..

40k a year isnt 'good'... its not to say u couldnt live on it but you'd have to make a conscious effort to stay within a budget if you wanted to save up to actually buy property....

and even doing this it would take up to 5 years....
