Don’t listen to this guy. There’s multiple Jim’s locations throughout the city and the outlying areas. I go to the one in Springfield, PA the most. Tourists are not going to Springfield breh :dead: Everyday Philly muthafukkas go there because the shyt is bomb.
I literally mentioned the one on Cottman ave in my original comment :why:
Jims gets no type of ranking from actual philadelphians, it's just another spot but i acknowledged they have local locations and a "tourist trap" location on south st.
And I know you not driving to Springfield just to get a cheesesteak , so you probably live around there so I'm not sure you're an authority on where to get cheesesteaks IN the city anyway. Stick to your Delco spots fam, you probably get hoagies from Wawa :mjlol:

You sound silly saying it’s a tourist spot when there’s multiple locations throughout the city. Those neighborhood locations aren’t surviving off of tourists :mjlol: There’s no difference between the food on South St and the food at the other locations. Just say you’re a snob and keep it moving. I’m originally from Chester breh. I’ve been through every nook and crevice of Philly. Also :dead: at acting like Springfield is far out when nikkas go to King of Prussia to shop. That’s you being a snob again.

I’m from Pittsburgh. But when I go to Philly I like Max’s and dalessandro's personally.

Genos and pats where overrated to me personally. I always defer to Philly cats on this subject. They take it seriously

I heard what makes Philly's different is the bread
They use omarosa rolls or something
:jbhmm:
My old roommate was from Philly. He always said it’s the water. When I lived in Jax a bar in Jax Beach opened up and the owners where from Philly. They had bread flown in twice a week. It really made a difference. Closest to original Philly steaks I ever had

As a native NYC cat I've been in Philly for about a year, and been to several of the top spots, and I can say with confidence that most of these places are trash.

But I was ready to give up on Philly Cheesteak sandwiches until I decided to hit up this spot by me called Lee's Market on 36th and Spring Garden. Holy shyt, this hole in the wall makes a better Philly Cheesteak than all the major spots I went to. The seasoning, the portions, and the price is all on point.

Plus, the owners are seemingly Vietnamese and so they make Bahn Mi sandwiches as well, them shyts be on point, on par if not better than alot of Vietnamese places in NYC.
Jokers don't skimp on the ingredients and are consistent.

I tried to initially front, but Amoroso rolls are the GOAT. The softness and texture is amazing and them joints stay fresh for a minute. Thing is for some reason they don't sell the hero rolls in the supermarkets and you gotta cop them in the bodegas.

Overall though, a chopped cheese>>>>philly Cheesteak :umad:
