I’ve personally bought over at least a dozen bottles while traveling at different times. It’s definitely better than every Hen below VSOP but it’s definitely overrated. I think it’s just the mystique about it not being available in the US. And we all know nikkas love shyt that’s exclusive.

So peep this. I went to cognac France this past November and went to the Hennessy factory. I asked they why they don't have Hennessy white at the factory anymore and only sell it on cruise ships and the Bahamas. The rep and his Co worker told me it's because Hennessy white is actually low grade Hennessy and the reason it's lighter than the other ones is because it wasnt aged as long. So everyone saying it's better, smoother or some shyt just because it's rarer is basing it off of placebo lol

that line of logic isn't the best because i don't think anybody is saying it taste better because it's rarer lol. the same reason why its lighter can also effect the taste. the less time it is in the barrel, the less barrel flavor (and color) it will get. to me it taste much better without all the barrel flavor, much smoother. i don't even like regular hen

Cognac is a bit out the way if you plan on going from Paris (bout a 6 hour drive) but it was worth it to me. They do the usual stuff like taste testing, history and stuff but I part that's worth the drive alone is the shop where you find all the super rare stuff for sale. There's bottles up there that are like $1k+.
