having pierce over dame isn't the hottest of takes tho :francis: dame been in steph's shadow the majority of his career, never figured out how to finish the job

You have to be smoking some kind of dope to think Dame was better than Pierce. Dame cant even have a 50 win season with a prime Giannis. :scust:

Giannis has been ARGUABLY the best player in the league since 2019. Yet when Dame gets to The bucks, they start losing. :scust:

Crazy turn of events but this seems like a W for Dame
Gets all his money, rehab on his own time (i'm assuming on his schedule and his hand picked doctors vs on the teams schedule, etc), and then gets to hand pick his next destination. Probably can go ring chase as a 6th man bench player type situation on a good team

Pretty much.

He just don't like the surprise. I'm sure he just wanted notice to transition things...

I don't see how this is foul at all. Gets all his bread and he can take a team friendly salary and go rehab in South Beach. He could probably find a spot on any roster in the league if he takes a team friendly deal. This lowkey a win since all I been hearing is about how Milwaukee has been misery for him.:yeshrug:

All this is Joe Cronin's fault. The original stupid trade to fukk Dame out of Miami and that gifted the Celtics a chip. Now Portland is STILL ass and Dame's last 2 years have been miserable.

Dame could re-sign with Milwaukee next summer.

EDIT: Nevermind. He can’t. Money has to clear first after being waived and stretched!

If another team signs Dame when he heals up, does he get paid the remaining Bucks contract on top of a new contract? Or does the team signing him take on his current Bucks contract?

The Bucks are still responsible and pay it, less what he signs for for the other team. There is an offset..a small amount...so there could be some overlap, but not much.

They waived that man while he’s recovering from blood clots and some of you idiots want these athletes to take pay cuts for billionaires. Let that be a lesson. Always take the money and do what’s best for you and your family.

He’s still getting paid.

Some of you are acting like he won’t be getting paid by the Bucks anymore.
