Long story short, our lawyer came to us 3 times asking whether we wanted to allow him the plea deal. First time was 8 years with 5 of that being probation, second was for 8 years flat and third was for 10.
This was with him confessing to the shooting and saying that he wanted to "show his friend how to kill a N*****"

What's the condition of the witness? Because there's a strong chance he won't be credible. If that's all they have I'd say you have a strong chance of skating away.
