Congratulations! Just imagine all the innocent people who took that plea because they were afraid of more jail time. I can guarantee many of those cases were flimsy like this. 
90+% of these things never even go to trial. There's got to be tons of innocents sitting in jail.

I don’t think they did it with any malice. They were just worried that breh could get the book thrown at him. This should be an eye opener for all of us who haven’t been involved in the legal system.

Case dismissed.
All the facts came out today. I denied the plea.
Found out that the alleged victim I.D someone else in a line up with 75% certainty, has a drug problem, and was acting unstable during the interview.
The prosecutor admitted that the alleged victim was not credible and the weapon found did not match.
The judge simply said "you're free to go". I didn't have to say a word.
All praise to my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Prison is filled with poor, deranged people. the emphasis is placed on poor. Anyone with a few coins should be in theory defend themselves.
Anyone who has served on a jury would be able to tell you this. Prosecutors are known to bring weak ass cases, but because your defender has 8 million other clients, defending you isn’t necessarily their highest needs. They’re in a volume business.

Well... yes. Private prisons can't operate if they have no prisoners. Drug related incarcerations are not enough, and then DAs need a sky high conviction rate.Congratulations! Man the state/city owes you. False arrested and the mental BS that came with this took its tool. Have you considered filing a suit considering they flat out wanted you to take 5-10 years for something you flat out didn’t do?
