I actually bumbed "The One" a few months ago. Dope album from and underrated emcee.
That's dope. I always wondered why Chubb just fell off the face of the Earth in the 90's. He was a dope MC with a big, booming voice that definitely influenced young Biggie. Good to know he's a cool, down to Earth dude.

Chubb used to live near me on Long Island some years back. I used to see him in Target once in a while. I heard he was a pharmacist at that time and also used to do a Saturday throwback show on WBLS

Anyway, Chubb was way ahead of his time as a rapper, the first I knew to have his master's degree but still dropping lyrics. He used to try to holla at my sister back in the day, when she was with the Screen Writers Guild, lol.

Interesting story he told me about Back To The Grille Again. Apparently it was a song he wrote for a rap group that never came out. One day MC Serch heard it, loved it, and basically hounded Chubb for the record, Serch ended up throwing Nas on it, he said first time he heard Nas verse he KNEW he was going to be a legend
I asked him his thoughts on the KRS-Shan beef rekindling, he said he knows Shan and works with his sister, apparently Shan lives out here in ATL now. He said KRS is and always WILL be the superior MC.
He does a radio show down here 6 nights a week, I told him to shout out the Coli
I love when I hear rappers have other careers. Looks like Chubb had a fall back plan.
