For it doesn’t go into their heart, but into their stomach - and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)

That same rule is expressed in different ways across pretty much all human belief systems and philosophies. The "Golden Rule" is a good one to hold to your heart, no matter what your belief or lack of belief is, in my opinion.

Not a verse but a passage that was/is a hard pill to swallow everytime I hear some racist stuff that happened or times Ive been wronged:
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[b]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This one shocked me when I first read it, like damn it's like that
