I saw this for the first time about 4 years ago and it definitely deserves it's place among classics.

What do you mean?

I thought it was great writing, funny as well.

Not really a fan of Sorkin, imo a lot of his dialogue is very in your face. It doesn't sound like people talk, and you can tell when he's speaking through his characters. But I think the film is great.

IMO Sorkin's flourishes are more prominent in West Wing...

I dunno man, I thought his writing is great. His name stands out to me compared to other screenwriters which must mean something. I feel he writes very well and people actually do speak like that.

Sure someone of Cruise's character probably isn't that dumb in real life but it was damn funny.

The Social Network and Moneyball it sounded on point how people in those areas of life would be speak.

Was one of my favorite movies for a long time. I'm not quite sure how I still don't have it on DVD/Blu-Ray...it's one of them movies that doesn't seem to get played on TV too much.

Always on AMC. Classic film, does remind you of a Grisham adaptation. Jack Nicholson :salute:

When Sorkin's on his A game, he's one of the best. West Wing, A Few Good Men, Social Network, etc.

But when he gets caught up in his own agenda, and the dialogue goes from great to heavy-handed, it's a trainwreck. Studio 60 and the Newsroom are two of the best shows to hate-watch ever because they're so hilariously bad.
