One of the weakest biopics in recent memory. It felt like an unintentional parody.
That's the point breh it's a dark comedy. What else do you expect given the bonkers source story. Fact is stranger than fiction.

Is it only in your top-10 because you've only watched 10 or less films?
:comeon:
Very entertaining and Margot and Janney gave 2 of the best performances of the year.

That's the point. It's a "he said", "she said" movie where you have to choose who to believe. Just like how The Disaster Artist was based on what an actor who was involved saw during The Room's production. Whether everything in the movie went down like that is a different story.

I'm well aware of that, which is why I said "unintentional parody". I don't particularly care for white trash, but this shyt was just a stick-it-in-a-cage-at-the-Zoo-and-laugh type of thing, which made it NOT funny, but fatuous. There isn't much about it that's personable, which is strange given it was supposed to be a biopic.

I don't see how something so clearly tongue in cheek be an "unintentional parody" breh.

You're entitled to your opinion but you're definitely in the minority on it

Because it has clear intentions of trying to be funny, except it's really not. It's just a parody of what it's trying to achieve.

I must watched the ABC special. Tonya's mother said, "She always says we were trailer trash. We weren't trailer trash. We had a brand new trailer!" She also said she didn't have brandy in her coffee. It was must brandy flavoring, and you can't get drunk off brandy flavoring.
