Just saw Kick-Ass 2 (Minor Spoilers)

Two things that really annoyed me in this film were the fight between Dave and his dad....shyt was completely inorganic and unearned. 10 minutes earlier he was calling him his best friend, then he's shytting on his life and running away

That and the payoff to the high school/Mean Girls shyt. I thought most of that was pretty damn funny, but the "Sick Stick" was dumb and the visual gag was embarrassing.

I was light weight disappointed...compared to the first one this one was little too much.

I mean the action scenes were cool and all but things just felt rushed and also it seemed almost too unrealistic compared to the first one.

The star of the movie was clearly Chloë Grace Moretz..and the way they ended it they might as well do a spin off movie with her character...

And I know I will get a for this..but she needs to hurry up and turn 18 already cuz

that's the general consensus, you see dark shadows at one point dude tells her she needs to get to work on getting preggers and the little kid who sleeps in her room or something says she touches herself and makes kitten noises

I liked it a little better than the first one. I actually liked that some drama was added to it. The comic was one of the only books where i thought they were with the shock factor. I guess this was also supposed to be more like the Hit Girl comic.

There is an after credits scene that would lead you to believe there will be. Also the first issue of kick ass 3 is out i think.

I didn't notice any spoofs of comic book flicks in this one like in part 1 except for the ending being alot like the dark knight rises with kick ass taking over for hit girl and hit girl driving off like batman from the end of the dark knight. I finally saw the boy wonder yesterday its like a more serious version of kick ass

the first one was like a comedic take on the Spiderman movies then it turns into kill bill/the dark knight, I don't know how I would classify this one, but I did like it more then the first kick ass could finally well kick ass, Jim Carrey was good as Col. Stars and stripes and then there were other characters I liked like Night bytch, mother Russia , John leguisamo and the glasses kid from the first one

I just felt it didnt have the same magic, direction, tone, dialogue, pacing or action the 1st had, everything just didnt click to me.Compare the goose bumps u got as the music was playing when kickass makes his 1st rescue (which felt pivital).To the scene in p2 where he meets justice forever which I assume was suppose to be a big deal but fell flat. The dr gravity/kickass team up scene felt very "aint we seen that already? I was never one of those types that was overly fanatical about hit girl but if u were a fan i dont know how Ka2 wouldnt infuriate. They basically de-powered her in a sense. Seeing costumed crimefighters/villians just didnt feel so special this time.You just have to peep red mist's 1st meeting with kickass to know what i mean. Mathew vaughn's comic bookey touches were sorily missed

And your point about the ending, i have a further gripe, if u thought mother russia's death was weak what are u goin to say about mclovin's.He just falls into the tank and sinks with the water goin red.No screams no cries nothing seen = weak

ps I doubt there will be a 3rd movie given the poor box office numbers/shytty writing this one had but if the studios still want to attempt to save this franchise they should find a way to change the title without alienating its core fanbase/reintroduce the unpredictability & shock factor the original had.Finally make kickass 'man up'and rescue hit girl for once.And am i the only that thinks this movie isnt as violent as the 1st?

The movie was good but the little idiosyncrasies that made the first one great was missing from the film. I just wish they didn't replace the original Todd and didn't recast Marcus with Morris Chestnut. The sick stick was a bit over the top but thats what makes Kick Ass what it is shyt needs to be over the top otherwise it would just be your prototype comic book movie.
