Just saw Mandela

Saw the movie yesterday...its was ok. Idris did a good job executing what was given to him. Personally, I hate non-black people doing movies on us and our struggles, they always leave out important shyt and leave stuff out of context to the audience almost to not incriminate the white race any further. I would have preferred that they started of the movie with a historical timeline of cac devilish treachery leading up to the rise of Mandela.

No one could have expected Winnie to remain faithful.

Mandela was locked away for 27 years but was supposed to be in there for life.

Nelson came out like when he had her alone after all of those years and she hit him with the . Nelson said it was for the best because he was tired anyway.

Not to mention he was about 20 years older than she was and Nelson came home he was frail and gray.

Mandela set her free like a G.

Saw it last night. It was cool, some scenes had me tight but overall, I think Idris & Naomie did good jobs - especially Naomie - she went super hard lol.

And yes, Lindiwe Matshikiza is very attractive lol.

in the Spielberg way where he uses that OTT hollywood music to move along a scene like in Lincoln.

It felt cheesy at times.

I thought it was good 7.5/10. Could've cut 10-15 mins of it though.

One thing I didn't like (or maybe it was just like that in the film) was when they transferred Mandela to the nice home, his boys were still locked up in the garbage jail. Or were they transferred somewhere nice as well but they just didnt show it on film?
