Help the dude out and try to forge that father/son bond that you never had. I know your first instinct is to say, "Fukk that dude, where was he back when I needed him?", but who knows what issues he had that led to that? A lot of men in this country, especially black men, have it hard in this country which can lead to the breakdown of the family structure. You only have one father man. At some point we as humans have to let go of grudges and mindful of other people's situations. :manny:

Give it a chance to try to help him out. To what extent is your choice and comfort zone. At least try to reach out, instead of not doing so and regretting your decision later if your dad were to pass on (not wishing that :whoa:). If you try and he doesn't accept, then at least you won't have the burden of "what if" on your mind.

If you be a blessing to your dad, "He" will bless you.

My dad was never around when I was growing up to begin with, so we're like complete strangers. It's been a year since I last saw him. I found out that he's now homeless and has memory loss problems, maybe dementia. He's lost a lot of weight, no job and wanders around the city He still has a car and sleeps where he can at peoples houses. I'm sorta conflicted right. Not sure if I should try to take him in and help get him work or what... I don't know...

Any advice? What would you guys do if you were in this situation?
I just recommend you treat him the best you can (within moderation) to attain the best afterlife possible for yourself.

Think about your children finding out that their father left his own father on the streets. That's some despicable shyt.

That isn't your dad. A dad actually sticks around to help raise their offspring. Chuck up the dueces to him like he did to you.

this is why women should never be in a position of authority. emotional and bitter they cant be trusted to make the right decision.
