Was this better then Sing. No, but it wasn't unnecessary money grab either. This was a real good film. They did a good job of keep the same formula with putting on a show but it's a whole different setting, different villian, etc. I wasn't laughing much but I heard kids laughing. Good song selections. The villian in here was OD. Like in a Suge Knight sorta way. Bro was crazy. But music wise it was alot variety and they did a good job pulling at the heart strings. Positive messages for the kids as far as believing in yourself and endurance.
It wasn't an epic closing song like the 1st one to me. And since you already know most the characters, the attachment wasn't as strong. I didn't have that connection with the new characters like.But overall this was good. I would watch this again. Matthew Mccanahey did his thing once again. If you feel going to the show, go see this with the kids. They will be entertained.
