Just shaved with a razor for the first time

Use warm water. Some people say shave with the grain, others say against...
I do both depending where i shave... but I'm a mixed, Back and mexican... I don't get severe razor bumps like others do.

My pops is Dominican (the white ones) and my mom is black so his shaving methods didn't work that well on me lol.
But doing it from scratch?

Dont use alcohol...alcohol drys your skin and will start to irritate and give you bumps or burn. use peroxide or witch hazel after shaving then You need to lubricate your skin and keep it lubed. Nivea makes a good cream...and worse come to worse just put lotion on your face and neck. I cant always shave with a razor and generally leave it to my barber. I got that 5 oclock going on most days cause my skin is sensitive as shyt.
