I think I will do some more Docker on my own time. It definitely is the future man. I already do a little configuration management on my own. Now I need to contribute to open source code more to get my name out.

The past few months have been tumultuous to say the least. I was at a job where my boss HATED me. I told you guys about it a bit. Being the only black guy at that senior level there also and the treatment I was getting I felt it was personal.
He put me on a PIP while I was there saying I need to work on my performance
I was terminated late June.
Late July my father goes into the hospital after a cardiac event. Early August he dies so a week later my family and I are burying him.
I am interviewing but things are slow. I got a verbal offer early September which later proves to be worthless because I end up waiting only to here there's a hiring freeze.
Discouraged I still interview. Pester to get an interview for a role in the Software / Technology space which I work in.
After being screened and having a five hour on-site interview I got that shyt!
Slightly less than I was making at my last role base salary BUT wit the bonus + RSUs it's a sweet ass package
Just glad to have this behind me and now I start next week. Going to bust in those does showing everyone who the fukk I amAlso make my dad proud.
Sorry about your pops breh. But your mums is right, you're the man now. Great to see you persevered and stepped up to the plate. It's a great day when you can lay down at night knowing you did your best and it payed off.
