I really don't understand the point of getting anything past 1080P for TV/Console Playing. I am NOT saying that the pictures won't look incredible, but the output is just not there...The PS4/XBOX One will not play ANY game at 4K resolution in the foreseeable future anyway (if at all).

I mean damn...a 2560x1440 is ridiculous for a PC these days because of how it chokes most video cards.

thats technology for you breh.. no matter what you do as soon as you buy the top of the line shyt, the next month they release something better. The curve makes it seem not worth it tho after reading the article. You don't ever want to buy the first iterations of a new tech, I'd prob just go with a 4k and call it a day.

them oled joints dont even do 4k

the guy says that you cant even tell if the screen is smaller than 65 inches

In this case, it's because other content mediums DO provide a 1080p picture....like Blu-ray, Netflix, etc.

yep. I imagine if you're watching something in 1080p on a 4k tv, the scaling is gonna make it look worse than it would on a 1080p monitor/tv

You really threw out that comparison to me? :comeon:

720p vs 1080p sets vary maybe $200 dollars depending on brand and size. Cats willing to spend THOUSANDS for resolutions that you probably wont take full advantage for years to come? Is this really what it has come down to?

If you want the best picture quality right NOW...get a high end PC monitor 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 along with a monster SLI setup to take full advantage of it.
