you'll never win in the tech war there is always something better around the corner but i'm still happy with my "best" at the time panasonic 3d plasma from 2011
relax i understand the arms race stuff is fun but hd is hd in the end your guests won't give a shyt if you look really closely that this pixel is sharper than that pixel to them its a sexy tv and they probably have one too or are happy with their vizio

my cheap skate wife actually wants to upgrade our TV in our fam room. I'm still like

That's what I'm thinking, some VVVVVV type gameNew consoles won't see any 4K gaming. Unless its some PixelJunk monsters type game,
i mean i can see why you would buy a tv if you are one of those extreme movie/tech/high quality video aficionados. i do think its a better investment to wait, esp if you are buying with any %tage of your intention on gaming

This year they have 4KTV's for under $1,000
But if that isn't enough, they are also coming out with 3DTV's this year that don't require glasses. I'd keep an eye on that
