Kuwasi Balagoon is a sadly unnoticed post-Malcolm activist

From “Look for Me in the Whirlwind” | The Anarchist Library

"Then they picked Jesse Gray out as the spokesman and told him he was under arrest and began dragging him into the hallway—at which time we shouted, “If you arrest one of us, arrest us all,” and moved on into the hallway. That was full of cops, and of us—mostly young adults and teenagers. As they came at us we went to work with little ado, like the butcher, baker, and candlestick maker. I myself ramshacked six beering, baseball-watching fat farts, and most of us rumbled for a half hour, sending fifteen pigs to the hospital."

i really feel that its crucial for the youth specifically to learn in depth about Malcolm's life. just as much as we learned about MLK (if not more)

because MLK was a genius, if you read his essays you can tell he was extraordinarily smart and educated. Most people really can't relate to MLK because he was that intelligent and pretty much the definition of a great man. like he was born to be great.

but malcolm's life is the story of someone who was basically a fukk up. He was a fukk up and he was a damn pimp at one point. He had no future and reading his early life I actually felt hopelessness when he was Red

But that didn't hold him back, his past mistakes didnt stop him from being a force of pure righetousness.

Imagine if Malcolm was in prison and thought "nah fukk that I cant be a leader, im a criminal, im not meant for this" :wow:

so many people today feel this way right now, that its too late to fix themselves or that who they are currently is who they will be forever.

But Malcolm is an example that your past is your past, and every Man no matter what is capable of turning their life around and becoming a force of righteousness and good

that you dont have to be born great, to be great :mjcry: :mjcry:

fam the fact that nobody learned from his warnings about them FAKE ASS white liberals got me straight like :mindblown: every fukking day i look at facebook, twitter or turn on the tv :scust:
Malcolm wasnt the only one that warned about Liberals

MLK himself said the white moderate is worse than the outright racist

First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.

I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and that when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress. I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that the present tension in the South is a necessary phase of the transition from an obnoxious negative peace, in which the Negro passively accepted his unjust plight, to a substantive and positive peace, in which all men will respect the dignity and worth of human personality. Actually, we who engage in nonviolent direct action are not the creators of tension. We merely bring to the surface the hidden tension that is already alive. We bring it out in the open, where it can be seen and dealt with. Like a boil that can never be cured so long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.

This is so accurate i cant believe it was written in the 60s

and both Malcolm and MLK concluded this independently :wow:

what speech/book is that from
Its from a letter MLK wrote from Birmingham Jail

The entire letter is a must read, go read it now. He outlines exactly his strategy and why he did what he did. He protested peacefully not because he was "nice" or he believed in turning the other cheek. It was a strategy of his, he believed it was effective and the letter goes over why.

MLK was an amazing writer I can't believe his written work isnt studied in depth, he wrote so many great essays that were eloquent

instead of any of that they just play a clip of his I have a dream speech like thats all he did :francis:

now that we have information at our finger tips theres no excuse really
