that was one of the better social comentaries i've ever seen on a tv show.

The way wayne SLOWLY realized as the seasons progressed that basically..he wasn't shyt...and he wasn't gonna be shyt...was real deep.

when he tried to join the millitary because, basically he had no other options

but couldn't even do that (i think failed the physical) was straight up tragic...

They need to do an update movie with Fred Savage narrating into a recorder his childhood for his autobiography, saying the exact same lines Chris Elliot would. Mix that with scenes of his life in the 90s, dealing with the Gulf War, Windows 95 and the OJ Simpson trial. Have Paul die for dramatic impact.

The way they developed these characters was great too. Wayne started off as the bully big brother then gradually ended up working with his father after almost going to the Army and almost wifing up a chick with a seed. From Paul being a nerd to being a nerd who at least was interested in girls. There will probably never be a show like this again.

Show was a weekly lesson. In have some respect for yourself.

That ended. Where kevin never learned that first lesson.

Imo dougie as a character was better. Except dougie went to shyt content wise too.
That made watching those shows being black a chore.

You had to wait quite a bit.
till Much later on. Where you aged out of viewership.

Abc even ruined sam in different strokes. As well as different strokes.
