Shareholders aren't happy with Tim Cook IPhone sales(they're not even bad tbh). I think the pressure from them is why they're making IOS more open and the increase in screen size.
I give Jobs credit because he answered to himself first and shareholders second. Tim is too laid back and lack that passion for perfection Steve had.
