Just upgraded to a Gig Internet connection. Did I lose?

I have Verizon Fios and they offer me the gig connected for less than 20 bucks more. I currently have about 10 devices connected in my house but is this shyt really worth it? Does anybody have a gig?

I've had literally no issues and I'm pulling down godly speeds. My video uploads are done in matter of seconds.

Only had 150 before but I did notice slow down sometimes. I have a couple of smart TVs Tablets, Pc and game systems

Impossible. It's a win. I could have done it but I'm trying to see if I can get by with 100 for now

For the price you're paying it's worth it. I have a gig connection for $80 a month. You won't notice a difference from day to day usage. It's useful when you have guests over and everyone is on your WiFi using up the bandwidth. I wouldn't pay over $100 for it though.

u didnt lose but you wont get the full benefit of the speed if you dont have a proper router that can distribute gig speed for your wired devices.

The answer is 1000x NO.

I have 25mbps, cut the cord, have everything connected. My games don't download as fast but I can knock out a 50gig game in about an hour. Tv/tablets/etc experience no drops, everything is in HD.

Netflix and Xbox live require 1.5mbps for gaming. I believe Netflix needs like 4.5mbps for HD and 25mbps to stream 4k

This shyt is all a scam tho, why you think we rated so low in the world when it comes to internet? Because these companies wanna sell you the same internet over and over again. Raising the speeds justifies raising in their eyes. We could all have 100gbps but how could they keep charging you full price if they did that?

Probably did because most companies are pushing it. I wasn't planning on doing that shyt but they offered.

For 20 bucks hell yeah it's worth it. Wish they had fios in my area. Once it comes through I'm switching. I'm paying $105 month for 300mbps down and 30 up with Cox
