He seems like a joke now but dude was the man for a hot second. I was in high school and witnessed the stannery in real time. That time was the precipice in hip hop of people still valuing lyrical skill over ancillary things like swag, popularity etc.

I'm saying, dude put me on to G. I. Gurdjieff and shyt like Moore's law I didn't really learn about until I took a CPU architecture class.

Also, what happened to Journalist? That dude was wild nice

definitely my favorite album....and even as much as i like that song, that's still one of the least liked for me on that album which is crazy!

was bumpin this during boxing workouts :ahh:

"on some diesel hercules shyt

Canibus linked up with the production guy. Wyclef wasn’t the type of producer he needed. He needed someone who could give him direction and a lane. Like what puff did with Big or Dre with Em. Dude was great with bars, what worked for the Fugees wasn’t a good fit for him. I always thought he would’ve been perfect under the RZA.

Canibus would have fared much better if he had come in with his own crew and people behind him. Look at Eminem, yes he went to Dre, but he had that Bass Brothers production and the Outsidaz co-signs. Canibus wasnt Refugee Camp, Wyclef just wanted to latch on to the buzz and had both the critical and commercial claim to make the case. He really didnt have anybody looking out for him

Canibus was better off fukking with LB. It seems like that relationship dissolved once Clef came into the picture.... imagine being under the tutelage of Mr.Cheeks and learning the actual entertainment aspect of being an mc

Bis actually had a pretty wild career when you think about it. He obviously fell short of the lofty expectations but he stuck around and didn't disappear like so many others who were "next".

Lots of drama, fallouts and fukkery where Canibus is concerned.

That said, I am not watching an FD Signifier video on him lol

Dude telling the story is corny af... idk if Ima watch this. He's lowkey taking shots at Canibus but pretending to be a fan. Even if he's not a fan there's no need to throw shade while telling someone's story... just do your job
Fell asleep watching it. He went in my many unnecessary directions and made some questionable analogies, I lost interest. It could of been good but overall fell flat. Need a real Bis fan to break it down better.
