It was cool but failed to blow my mind. There's movies out there that are classic and you know why as soon as you start watching (Heat, Godfather, Seven Samurai) bit this wasn't one for them.

Maybe cuz it was from a different time period. I saw it recently and enjoyed it for what it was. It's recognized for de niros acting and the dark themes of the movie. It's not the greatest but it was decent.
I watched the whole thing one night.... it was ok... I guess is was supposed to be psychologically dark... for it's time... but it was meh... 
I guess the only shocking thing was the part where we saw young jodie foster with dikk flying out her mouth...

Watched it last night. I appreciate this movie more than the first time I saw it years ago. Thought it was all right back then.
It was a good film.But clearly inspiration for Lone Wolf cac archtype.
One of my favorites, NYC was its own living breathing character in the movie.
